Jerusalem Hackathon
Nine members of staff from Shaare Zedek Medical Centre participated in the first medical hackthon in Jerusalem. JLM Medathon focused on developing technological and medical ideas using BIG Data and other cutting edge new technologies.

Meet Professor Ofer Merin
Professor Ofer Merin, the new Director General of Shaare Zedek Medical Center, is the fifth director general, but the first to be fully trained at Shaare Zedek Medical Centre. Professor Merin joined the ranks of Shaare Zedek 27 years ago and has grown up professionally at the hospital.

Farewell and thank you to Professor Halevy
It is March and there is a new Director General in town. Effective midnight 28th of February 2019, after 31 years leading Shaare Zedek Medical Centre, Professor Jonathan Halevy, stepped down as the hospital’s Director General. Professor Ofer Merin, is now the hospital’s Director.

Ms. Gabrielle (Gaby) Lewis-Adut, is the Head Nurse of the Nursery in Maternity Ward D, she was born in Wellington, New Zealand and shared with us a bit about her background how she came to live in Israel.
