Katie brings over a decade of experience at Shaare Zedek UK, combining a deep personal commitment to the organisation with a strong background in communications and relationship building. Having previously led on marketing, storytelling and donor engagement, she now steps into the role of Executive Director with a focus on strengthening connections, growing support, and championing the life-saving work of Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
Katie is passionate about building meaningful relationships with supporters, ensuring that every story shared reflects the impact of their generosity. Her approach blends professionalism with empathy and authenticity, helping to foster trust and long-term engagement across the Shaare Zedek community.

Emilie Morris – Finance Manager
Emilie joined Shaare Zedek UK in September 2010. She is more than familiar with the hospital as her younger brother was born there and as a child she accompanied her parents to the old building for various appointments, whilst living in Jerusalem.

Nichola Sims – Legacy Officer
Nichola has worked in the charity legacy sector since the mid 1990s, working for various national charities before becoming Head of Training and Professional Standards at the Institute of Legacy Management from 2005 until 2020. She returned to hands on legacy administration work during 2020, joining Shaare Zedek in 2024.

Gail Sterman – Operations & Administration Manager
Gail joins Shaare Zedek from a background in educational administration. She is the backbone that ensures the smooth running of the office. She also manages our Celebrations & Yahrzeit programmes.
