Why are you running for Shaare Zedek UK?

Shaare Zedek do amazing work, saving lives and I’m really honoured to be able to raise money for them!

Have you ever run a marathon before?

Never a full marathon – my goal is to run one before I’m 30 – in February I ran my first half marathon in Brighton

How is training going?  Who do you have motivating you from behind the scenes?

ummm…. not as well as it should be haha, one of my best friends and running partner Emma has been brilliant in helping me.

What are you most excited about / nervous about?

Looking forward to seeing all the great sights in London, running through iconic places like Hyde Park, the Mall and Trafalgar Square

Have you been given any advice or what are your top tips for pushing through the pain barrier?

I’ve found that music and getting lost in a good song really distracts you, and once you’ve hit the first 5K it gets so much easier

What is on your running playlist?

High tempo, rap and grime mainly, anything fast paced with a strong beat, a lot of Eminem, AJ Tracey, Dave and a surprising amount of Rihanna

Trusty trainers or new shoes for the occasion?

Relatively new shoes – I bought a pair just before the last half marathon so hoping they can still do the job.

What will be on the menu for your marathon breakfast or are you more looking forward to the celebratory meal afterwards?

Only a light bite beforehand, and definitely a celebratory meal post-run, a proper Fish and Chips and some onions rings, or some garlic bread! I’m already going hungry thinking about it!

Good luck to Aaron – you can still sponsor him at his fundraising page –  help him get to his target!
