We are incredibly proud of the Shaare Zedek Medical Center team members currently in Jamaica as part of a humanitarian aid delegation organised by Israel’s Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assisting communities affected by the devastating hurricane that recently struck the region.
The delegation is led by Professor Ofer Merin, Director General of Shaare Zedek Medical Center, alongside Dr Sefi Mandelovich, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health. Joining them are Efrat Even, Head Nurse at the Children’s Hospital, and Dr Hemi Bloomberg, Deputy Director General for Medicine at Shaare Zedek.

The State of Israel mobilises to provide medical and humanitarian assistance wherever it is needed around the world, and we are proud to represent Israel and Shaare Zedek in this important mission. We are receiving a warm embrace from the local community and much appreciation for Israel’s swift response.
This is Shaare Zedek at it’s very best, offering hope to people beyond the hospital walls. Hope for us, hope for Israel, hope for the world.
