In line with the Ministry of Health’s directives during the ongoing emergency, Shaare Zedek Medical Center has activated enhanced emergency protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of all patients and staff. These measures include:

𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲
Protected areas and underground wards have been established to ensure that essential medical services including A&E, emergency surgeries, maternity and delivery, dialysis, oncology, IVF, and NICU, continue uninterrupted and safely.

𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹
A dedicated underground unit is now actively treating critically ill patients, with additional spaces on standby. The hospital team is prepared to handle large numbers of patients and continues to urge anyone needing urgent medical attention not to delay care.

With schools across the country closed, Shaare Zedek has stepped up to care for nearly 200 children of hospital staff in secure on-site childcare hubs. This allows frontline medical professionals to focus on saving lives, knowing their children are safe and supported. It’s a deeply moving example of community resilience and solidarity.
