Shaare Zedek Medical Center & The Jerusalem Foundation have launched the Shaare Nefesh Center, offering free psychedelic-assisted therapy for PTSD & depression.
This innovative clinic provides trauma-focused, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for civilians and soldiers affected by the war.
Operating for the past six months at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem the centre was established with the support of The Jerusalem Foundation and a generous anonymous donation. This initiative addresses the urgent need for expanded mental health care in Jerusalem and surrounding communities.
The new center, which officially opened today is located at 11 Rivka Street in Talpiot, and is managed by Dr. Sinai Oren, a specialist psychiatrist and psychotherapist with experience in ketamine based therapy and substance-assisted psychotherapy, working alongside Yona Luria, head of psychological services at Shaare Zedek.
This is a vital step in advancing accessible, cutting-edge mental health treatments in Israel’s public healthcare system.
