On the evening of Friday, November 10th, a helicopter landed at Shaare Zedek Medical Center Jerusalem carrying four combat soldiers seriously injured in a devastating attack in Gaza that claimed five lives.
We are so pleased to say, 68 days later, the last of those four patients treated at the hospital has been discharged.
‘B’ will now continue his rehabilitation after having 18 separate surgeries to address a wide variety of injuries including the amputation of one of his legs.
In an emotional departure, ‘B’ thanked the entire team that was involved in his care acknowledging they were all instrumental in saving his life. After spending so much time in the hospital seeing him leave Shaare Zedek was an emotional moment for everyone.
‘B’ shared that he looks forward to returning to Shaare Zedek after his successful rehabilitation and says he plans to be able to climb mountains and dreams of participating in the Paralympics.
We wish him only good health and happiness and hope all his dreams come true!
