At Shaare Zedek Medical Center, supporting those on the frontline of emergency medicine is part of our daily mission.
This week, Shaare Zedek welcomed a team of military medics for an advanced day of medical training and professional development following an extended period providing frontline emergency care.
The programme, coordinated by Dr Giora Weiser, Director of the Paediatric Emergency Department, focused on strengthening critical trauma and emergency response skills for senior medics and paramedics.
Throughout the day, participants worked alongside Shaare Zedek’s expert clinical teams in the operating theatres and emergency department, practising complex medical procedures under the guidance of senior anaesthetists and trauma specialists.
The training also included lectures on emergency and trauma care, as well as advanced simulation exercises using smart mannequins to recreate high-pressure casualty scenarios.
Having recently returned from intensive operational service, the visiting medics spoke about the importance of ongoing specialist training in helping them deliver lifesaving care in some of the most challenging conditions.
We are proud that Shaare Zedek continues to play a vital role in sharing medical expertise, advancing trauma care, and helping equip healthcare professionals with the skills needed to save lives when every second counts.
