200 children, young adult and parents from across the country took part in the annual event launching the 10th year of Coping Workshops for Children & Youth with Crohn’s and Colitis in memory of Dr. Joseph Faber in the Anne and Joe Turner Paediatric IBD Centre in the Juliet Keidan Institute of Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition.
The young people enjoyed fun circus workshops including juggling, walking on stilts and making balloon creatures while parents heard lectures about different issues IBD patients face, including different medicinal protocols, nutritional recommendations, the relationship between parents and young IBD patients and more.
The evening was topped off with an entertaining performance by comedian Amiram Tovim.
We are grateful to the the British donors, the Turner and Keidan families, whose support and generosity enable this work to continue.
